PURPOSE:To obtain directly a sheet shaped product by supporting a plane part, obtained by rolling a cylindrical blank material while advancing it in its longitudinal direction by a roll table, and rolling said rolled material through plural passes while slanting its major axis with respect to the advancing direction of rolling, and successively rolling it by making the axis approximately parallelly to the rolling direction. CONSTITUTION:After forming a plane part 4 by rolling a cylindrical, metallic, blank material 1 through at least one pass while advancing the material 1 in its longitudinal direction, the material 1 is rolled by slanting its major axis by theta deg. with respect to the advancing direction of rolling while supporting the plane part 4 by a roll table. At that time, the slant-direction rolling of 0<theta<90 deg. or the lateral-direction rolling of theta=90 deg. is performed by differentiating the peripheral speeds of upper and lower rolls from each other to enhance its width- spreading effect. In this way, a cylindrical, metallic, blank material can be directly rolled into a sheet-shaped product having an excellent shape and no rolling flaw. |
