DOUBLE-STRUCTURE STORAGE SYSTEM OF SOUND INFORMATION

PURPOSE:To improve the using efficiency of a storing device for sound information with reduction of storage capacity and to miniaturize the storage system, by storing the sounds to the 1st and 2nd storage means after coding those sounds by the 1st and 2nd code converting means. CONSTITUTION:The input sounds are supplied simultaneously to a code converting part 1 of a normal bit rate and to a code converting part 2 of a bit rate lower than the part 1 to be coded and then stored to sound storing parts 4 and 5 via a data transfer part 3 in the form of the digital information. In a reproduction mode, the sound coded by the part 1 is usually read out of the part 4 and decoded by the part 1 via the part 3 to be outputted as a sound signal. In case the 1st system has a fault, the sound coded by the part 2 is read out of the part 5 and decoded by the part 2 via the part 3 to be outputted. In such a way the capacity of a storing device which is needed to a message is reduced. Thus the using efficiency is improved with the total miniaturization of a storing system for the storing device.
