<p>The electro-erosion machining system is used to form a peripheral curved cavity in a workpiece. A segment is cut out to form an electrode rotating about its lengthwise axis with a peripheral curved surface, thus forming a lengthwise cutting edge whose profile in the lengthwise direction corresponds to the recess to be formed. The electrode is mounted near the workpiece so as to bring the cutting edge into the effective position, and it and the workpiece are rotated in relation to each other, moving it into the workpiece to form the cavity. The peripheral surface of the electrode can be serrated.</p> |
