<p>PURPOSE:To obtain an SOx removing filter which is effective for removing SOx discharged from an oil combustion apparatus and easy in handling and low in air-permeable resistance by sticking magensia cement and metal oxide on base material. CONSTITUTION:Many openings are formed on base material by making a network of iron and stainless steel or the like, providing the openings with punching or using foamed ceramics. The base material is immersed in slurry of mixture consisting of magnesia cement and oxides of alkali metal, alkaline earth metal and transition metal such as Mn and Co and thereafter drawn up and after compressed air is blown thereto to prevent blocking of the openings, it is dried and calcined. Moreover, magnesia cement is previously stuck on said base material and after it is immersed in water soluble salt soln. of metal capable of forming metal oxide, it may be dried and calcined. The SOx removing filter thus obtained by said method is provided to the position wherein the exhaust gas of combustion apparatus is passed.</p> |
