PURPOSE:To attain the continuous recording without discontinuing the recording operation by recording the defective data to the following sector with no change. CONSTITUTION:The record data 1 on an optical disc are divided into plural data blocks #1-#n according to the recording capacity per sector and then recorded. A status 3 showing the continuity is added to the divided data block 2, and this block 2 is divided into data segments 401-408 corresponding to the prescribed error correction units. A check symbol for error correction is added to each of those data segments. If a detect of a sector 4, for example, is detected after recording data to the sector 4, the data and the state recorded to the sector 4 are rerecorded as they are to a sector 5. Hereafter the data are recorded successively to a sector 6, a sector 7 and the other. |
