发明名称 FILLER METAL FOR PENETRATION TIG WELDING
摘要 PURPOSE:To reduce the consumption of an inert gas by filling specifically a flux contg. a specific weight % of fluoride of metal to the inside of a sheath and incorprating a specific amt. of slag forming material into the flux. CONSTITUTION:A flux 2 contg. <=30wt% fluoride of metal is packed to the inside of a sheath 1 at a rate of 1/8-3/2 the weight of the sheath 1. A slag forming agent is further incorporated into the flux 2 at 2-6% of the entire weight of the product. The groove base 5 of staineless steel plates 3a, 3b is heated by a tungsten electrode 6 while a filler metal 4 is supplied toward the base 5. The flux 2 melts to flow and the melts fills the space between the plates 3a and 3b from which the melt spreads to the rear side. Since the fluoride of metal and slag forming agent are contained in the flux 2, the consumption of the inert gas is considerably reduced by the penetration welding thereof.
