PURPOSE:To obtain a tape cassette having such a structure where the number of spring members is reduced together with an easy bending process and easy production of a case, by holding a plate spring at a coupling boss part between upper and lower cases. CONSTITUTION:A plate spring 20 is attached at about 45 deg. from both ends at the rear side of a housing 22, and the 1st boss 24 of an upper case 23 is put into a hole 21 of the spring 20. Then a lower case 25 is set to the case 23 from the lower side, and both cases are tightened with a machine screw 30. Thus the spring 20 is held between a flange tip part 27 of the 2nd boss 26 of the case 25 and the inner wall 28 of the case 23. Thus the warp resistance is improved by supporting the spring 20 at the corner part of the case. In addition, the metallic mold of the case is simplified since the support mechanism of the spring 20 doubles a boss of the case. Furthermore the shrinkage produced by molding can be eliminated.
