PURPOSE:To improve the properties of a thermoplastic resin simply in good efficiency, by plasma-treating the thermoplastic resin under a melt kneading condition. CONSTITUTION:A thermoplastic resin is plasma-treated under a melt kneading condition. The thermoplastic resins which can be applied may be used alone or in the form of a mixture of at least two kinds. When a mixture of at least two kinds of the resins incompatible with each other is used, it is possible to add thereto, if necessary, stabilizers, fibers, reinforcing agents, rubbers, lubricants, antistatic agents, plasticizers, colorants, etc. The plasma treatment can be carried out as follows. An electric discharge is performed at a gas pressure of 0.005-20Torr, and the generated plasma is used in the treatment. Alternatively, the plasma treatment is performed at a gas pressure of 20Torr - about atmospheic pressure or at an elevated atmosphere gas pressure. The plasma treatment is performed for about 1sec-30min.
