PURPOSE:To polymerize propylene at a constant temperature and to control the MW of polypropylene, by introducing a nonliquefiable gas into the suction chamber of an ejector and introducing a liquid propylene-containing fluid into its suction nozzle. CONSTITUTION:In polymerizing propylene by using hydrogen as an MW modifier, the propylene itself is used as a liquid medium, and the heat of polymerization of propylene is removed by a gas-circulation process in which the gas phase is cooled, the nonliquefiable gas is introduced into the suction chamber of an ejector, and a fluid containing liquid propylene is introduced into its suction nozzle. Because it is necessary that said fluid is passed in a large quantity at a constant flow rate, it is desirable to provide the reactor with a line and a pump for slurry recirculation and to use a slurry recirculated therethrough as said fluid.
