PURPOSE:To wind up a piece of quenched thin band continuously and without stopping by cutting said quenched thin band at every certain length and winding it up alterntely onto a pair of winding drums provided on the upper and lower part of a conveying level for said quenched thin band. CONSTITUTION:A running cutter 1, which cuts a piece of quenched thin band 17 being conveyed at a high speed, as it is moving at the high speed, is provided. And, a pair of pinch rollers 2, 2, and a switch gate 3, which displaces by vertically swinging the end part of a piece of cut-off band 17, to introduce the part either upper or lower part of the conveying level of the band 17, are provided in order, on the lower course side of the cutter 1. A pair of upper and lower winding drums 5 are provided right behind the switch gate 3, while a guide 8, which introduces the end part of the band 17 to be wound to the drum 5, is provided, swingingly separably, with respect to each of the drums 5. And, further, an adsorbing board 11, which adsorbingly holds a sheet 18 for smoothly introducing the end part of the band 17 to the drum 5, is provided. |
