PURPOSE:To obtain polymer particles without causing cake formation during polymerization, by suspension-polymerizing a water-soluble monomer in an aqueous medium containing a water-soluble inorganic salt and a difficult-water-soluble inorganic salt. CONSTITUTION:A water-soluble monomer, alone or together with a difficult- water-soluble monomer, is suspension-polymerized in an aqueous medium containing a water-soluble inorganic salt and a difficult-water-insoluble salt. The effect is particularly remarkable when a morpholinoalkyl (meth)acrylate is used as the water-soluble monomer. For the stabilization of the polymerization dispersion system, the water-soluble monomer is desirably used in combination with a difficult-water-soluble monomer. For this purpose, the difficult-water-soluble monomer is used preferably in an amount of 40-97wt%, based on the monomer. The water-soluble inorganic salt is used in an amount of 0.1-15wt%, based on the aqueous medium.
