PURPOSE:To enable an impact force of a printing wire to be appropriately set, by providing an assembly capable of adjusting the gap between an armature and a core of an electromagnetic device by varying the position of a holding member relative to an electromagnetic device assembly, in a wire dot printer. CONSTITUTION:The printing head comprises the electromagnetic device assembly 1 consisting of a plurality of electromagnetic devices 5, a printing wire assembly 2 for driving the printing wires 21 to protrude and retract, and an assembly 3. The assembly 3 holds by clamping the assembly 2 between it and the assembly 1, and can adjust the gap between the armature 18 and the core 6 of the electromagnetic device 5 by varying the position of the member 23 for holding the armature 18 at a predetermined position in the retracting direction of the wire 21 against a spring action, relative to the assembly 1. Accordingly, the impact force if the wires 21 can be appropriately set. |
