PURPOSE:To provide a photosensitive body acting effectively as a carrier generating substance and having sufficient practical sensitivity for a long wavelength light source such as semiconductor laser, etc. even if it is combined with a wide variety of carrier substances. CONSTITUTION:Photosensitive bodies having sufficient stability to heat and light, other photographic characteristics such as superior charge maintaining property, sensitivity, and residual potential, etc. causing only little deterioration due to fatigue even if it is used repeatedly, moreover having sufficient sensitivity for light having >=780nm long wvelength, are provided by using azo compds. expressed by the general formula ( I ) as a photoconductive substance constituting a photoconductive layer of a photosensitive body. |
