PURPOSE:To securely prevent sheets of paper from clogging by providing a paper separating means between a paper feeding means which is provided in a paper containing part and an inlet roller which is provided on a copying machine body, and bringing or parting said means in contact with or from said paper, as appropriate, in accordance with the transfer of said paper. CONSTITUTION:A paper feeding device A consists of a paper containing part A1 for containing a large volume of sheets of paper 31 and a paper carrying out part A2. The paper carrying out part A2 is removably mounted on the cassette charging port 11 of a coping machine body B. The sheets of paper are fed into a body B by driving an inlet roller 12 installed on the charging port 11. In this case, a separating means 5 and a movable guide body 61 are provided in the carrying out part A2 and between the paper feeding means 4 of the containing part A1 and the roller 12. And, sensors S1, S2 are provided near the means 5 and the guide body 51 respectively. When the sensor S1 detected the arrival of the sheets of paper 31, the means 5 is engaged with the sheets of paper 31 to convey the paper and, as the sensor S2 detected the arrival of said paper, the means 5 is parted from the sheet of paper 31. |
