PURPOSE:To simplify a roller body in structure as well as to facilitate its manufacturing, by pressing a flanged bearing box seal member, which is solidly molded with flexible material such as synthetic resin or the like, in the roller body composed of a steel pipe, etc., while letting the said member hold a bearing outer ring. CONSTITUTION:A flanged bearing box seal member 2 or a solid molding of plastics is attached to an end part of a roller body 1 which is made up of a pipe such as a steel pipe or the like having the specified inner and outer diameters cut off. The outer circumferential part of this seal member 2 is set down to a body holding part 3 having a diameter almost identical to that of the inner circumference of the roller body 1, and an annular flange 4 is formed in an outer end of this holding part 3. In addition, a bearing holding part 10 is installed in an inner circumferential part of the seal member 2, making it hold an outer ring 8 of a main bearing. The seal member 12 like this is pressed in the end part of the roller body 1 in a state that an inner ring 9 of the main bearing 7 is fitted in a roller shaft 15 provided with a projection claw 16 and then a protector cover 19 is fitted, locking the seal member with the fitting of a snap ring 20 to the shaft 15. |
