摘要 <p>PURPOSE:To separate and remove easily U from a metallic material contaminated with U without passing through a complex stage by bringing a soln. of the metallic material in a mineral acid into contact with a specified metal, regulating the potential of the soln., adjusting the pH, and carrying out filtration. CONSTITUTION:A metallic material contaminated with U is dissolved in a mineral acid such as sulfuric acid or hydrochloric acid in a reducting atmosphere to prepare a soln. The mineral acid may be heated so as to carry out smooth dissolution. The soln. is brought into contact with one or more kinds of metals which are baser than a standard hydrogen electrode. The metals include Fe, Co and Ni. The soln. is then kept at <=0.5E (V) potential and adjusted to 2.0-6.0 pH. A substance considered to be UO2 is precipitated, so U can be separated by removing the substance by filtration.</p>
