PURPOSE:To expose stably and easily a non-plating part to the outside of a plating liquid by holding the part where the plating treatment is not required by a conductor holder and constituting a hermetic compartment in the peripheral region of the holding part by the plating liquid surface and a covering means in the stage of plating. CONSTITUTION:A ground electrode part 14 of a work W where plating is not required or deposition of plating is not desired is securely chucked by a collet chucking part of a plating jig 9 which is constituted of a conductive material and is made rotatable. A cylindrical sealing cover 18 having approximately the same size as the size of a cylindrical operating lever 21 provided to the jig 9 is inserted and mounted at a certain size to said lever and O-rings 19a, 19b are mounted into the space between the lever 21 and the cover 18 to seal hermetically said space. Then the liquid level in the cover 18 is allowed to rise only by as much as the pressure corresponding to the immersion depth thereof by an air chamber 22 and the liquid level is always stably maintained, by which the part 14 is exposed to the outside of the plating liquid at all times so as not to be electrodeposited.
