The apparatus includes a radiation source to radiate a fanshaped beam and a radiation detector with several detecting cells. A living body- supporting section is disposed between the radiation source and the detector. A data collection section moves the radiation source and the radiation detector simultaneously, relative to the living body supporting section, in a direction orthogonal to the plane in which the radiation beam is sent in accordance with an output signal from the distance detector. The radiation detector collects the output signal. A circuit computes the output signal from the data collection section to form a radiogram of the living body.
