The invention relates to the heating of water by means of a primary fluid at high temperature. The apparatus comprises a water storage tank 1 comprising a water inlet E and a water outlet S and a monobloc water heater 2 situated inside the tank, this heater comprising a fluid reservoir 6 comprising walls which make possible heat exchange between this fluid and the water of the tank, said reservoir containing, within said fluid, a pipe 5 which has a pipe inlet 5a and a pipe outlet 5b in order to make circulate in the pipe said primary fluid under conditions of heat exchange between this primary fluid and the fluid contained in the reservoir.
