Fibre-optical sensor arrangement

A fibre-optical sensor arrangement has several fibre-optical sensors (10) which are arranged in the manner of spokes in the interior of a housing (32) of round cross-section which is partially filled with a liquid (13), and which sensors protrude with their sensor ends (11) to the vicinity of the inside of the housing. During a rotation around an axis extending at a right angle to the plane fixed by the fibre-optical sensors (10), various fibre-optical sensors (10) are immersed in the liquid (13) in dependence on the angle of rotation so that a determination of the rotational position of the housing (32) is possible by evaluating the output signals of the fibre-optical sensors (10) indicating the immersion in the liquid (13). The housing (32) can be constructed as the float of a liquid level display device and can be mounted in an articulated manner via a rotational arm (34) on a tank containing a tank liquid (33). <IMAGE>
