For a vending machine which is provided with an electronic device for the acquisition of sales-related data, the actuation of the various product-dispensing devices and therefore the execution of product-dispensing operations are recognised in that each dispensing device is assigned a switch contact which, when the dispensing of a product has taken place, supplies a signal specific to the particular shaft. These switch contacts are preferably designed as foil-type switch contacts.
