Method and arrangement for extracting heat from flowing air or from rainfall, there being arranged as heat collector on the roof ridge a tube-bundle heat exchanger flowed through by a cooled liquid. The heat collector is oriented in such a manner that it is flowed against as transversely as possible at the maximum wind speed during the greater part of the heating period. The improvement consists on the one hand in that the heat collector is of saddle-shaped design so that it sits positively on the ridge roof and on the other hand in that corrugated tubes are used for the tubes of the tube bundle.
