<p>By means of a screen device (50, 70) particles contained in the suspension are separated into accept and, respectively, reject. Particles above a definite size are passed directly to a refiner comprising two refiner members (10, 20), which are rotatable relative to each other and between themselves define a diverging gap (22). After the refining, these particles are returned via a return conduit (80) to the inlet end of the screen device (50, 70) for repeated separation. The material suspension supplied is thereby in its entirety converted to accept, which in controlled manner is discharged from the apparatus.</p> |
