PURPOSE:To make a smaller print hammer with a less stroke of the print hammer while facilitating the unloading of a wheel cassette by forming a relief groove at the opposite position to the print hammer along the direction of mounting it to reduce the clearance between the wheel cassette and the print hammer so that the distance between a type and the print hammer can be as small as possible. CONSTITUTION:A wheel cassette 10 has a relief groove 46 on the back of a cassette case 12. The relief groove 46 is formed at the opposite position to the print hammer 70 along the direction of mounting to a cassette holder 62 to be kept from hitting the print hammer 70 when the wheel cassette 10 is mounted thereto. Since the print hammer 70 only projects the hammer section the width of the relief groove 46 can be just enough to devert the hammer section. |
