PURPOSE:To improve the shape and quality of a sheet by disposing an intermediate roll between a work roll and a backup roll and providing bending to the work roll or the intermediate roll. CONSTITUTION:Upper and lower intermediate rolls 17, 18 are disposed between work rolls 7, 8 and backup rolls 3, 5 through blocks 14. Levers 21, 22 are provided to work-roll chocks 19, 20 to make the work rolls 7, 8 shiftable in the roll-axis directions by hydraulic cylinders 23, 24. Roll-bending cylinders 27, 28 are further disposed to provide bendings to the intermediate rolls 17, 18. Thus the corrections of the nonstationary bendings of work rolls 7, 8 are performed extremely easily by these mechanisms, and the malformation with compound wave of a sheet is corrected into an excellent shape by rolling, and the product quality is improved. |
