EXAMPLE:A 7-bis(sec-butoxycarbonyl)methylene-2,4-dioxa-6,8-dithia-3-methylbicycl o[3,3,0]octane. USE:An activator for liver function, and a remedy for hepatic diseases. PREPARATION:A compound shown by the formula III is reacted with a carbonyl compound shown by the formula IV preferably in an inert organic solvent such as benzene, etc. in the presence of an acid such as p-toluenesulfonic acid.
