<p>PURPOSE:To recover inexpensively and efficiently a metal having high purity by passing the vapor evaporated from a molten alloy through a throttling passage to cool quickly and liquefy the molten alloy by adiabatic expansion and cooling and liquefying the vapor obtd. by evaporating the resulted liquid by the sensible heat retained therein. CONSTITUTION:Heaters 15, 21, 29 and a vacuum pump 28 are provided to the connected 1st and 2nd evaporation chambers 6, 7 and a condensing chamber 24 to form a temp. gradient and pressure gradient higher in this order. The molten alloy 10 composed of the metal to be recovered and the other metal having the vapor pressure lower than the vapor pressure thereof is introduced into the above-mentioned 1st chamber 6 where the 1st vapor is evaporated. The 1st vapor is introduced preferably together with a carrier gas which is an inert gas such as Ar into the above-mentioned 2nd chamber 7 through a divergent nozzle 17, etc. and is quickly cooled and liquefied by the adiabatic expansion, by which the molten alloy 19 is obtd. The molten alloy 19 is evaporated by the sensible heat retained mainly by said alloy. The 2nd vapor is introduced into the chamber 24 of a condensing vessel 23 where the vapor is cooled and liquefied and the molten metal 30 to be recovered is obtd.</p> |
