PURPOSE:To prevent abrasion of only a specific site on a rotor, by promoting the dispersion of a sliver led through a sliver inlet hole into the center of the rotor with uneven surfaces on the contact surfaces between the sliver and the rotor. CONSTITUTION:An open end spinning machine, having plural fiber grooves 19 of almost semicircular cross section directing from the central protrusion part 18 in the outer peripheral direction in a rotor 12 and the respective side edges 21 at almost right angle, and capable of bringig a sliver (S) led into a sliver inlet hole 1 into contact with the central protrusion part 18 of the rotating rotor 12, dispersing the sliver (S) along the peripheral wall of the inlet hole 1, and introducing the dispersed fibers of the sliver (S) in a given amount into the fiber grooves 19 of the rotor 12. |
