<p>An elastothane fibre is wrapped in a covering yarn using a method in which: &cirf& in a first phase, the stretched elastothane fibre is wrapped in a covering yarn which has a twist of the order of one third of the normal twist in simple wrapping, the wrapped fibre then being wound onto a bobbin; &cirf& in a separate second phase, the bobbin of wrapped fibre is taken up by a twisting unit to give it an additional twist, characterised in that &cirf& the covering yarn is a partially stretched multifilament synthetic fibre; &cirf& and in that, in a separate third phase, the wrapped fibre (31) is subjected to an additional residual hot drawing (35-38, 36). <IMAGE></p> |
