PURPOSE:To provide an external drug for transcutaneous absorption, having improved transcutaneous absorptivity of molsidomine, by compounding a specific aliphatic compound to molsidomine having vasodilating activity and useful as a remedy for coronary insufficiency, hypertensive cardiac diseases, myocardial infarction, stenocardia, etc. CONSTITUTION:The objective external drug for transcutaneous absorption can be prepared by compounding (A) N-ethoxycarbonyl-3-morpholino-sydonone imine (common name: molsidomine) having excellent vasodilating activity and low side effect with (B) one or more aliphatic compounds selected from 5-30C aliphatic monocarboxylic acid, 10-22C monohydric aliphatic alcohol, 7-17C aliphatic monoamide and 10-16C aliphastic monoamine, at a weight ratio (A to B) of 1 to >=1/100, preferably 1 to >=1/10. The transcutaneous absorptivity of the above drug can be improved, the drug action can be maintained for a long period only by administering the drug to the skin of human body, and the side effect can be reduced.
