PURPOSE:To improve operability by having a locking mechanism which enables fixing of an operating part into a housing part in the stage of housing said part into the housing part and detaching again of the fixed operating part and a switch means which turns off a power feed circuit in the stage of fixing the operating part. CONSTITUTION:A device for setting and displaying the number of sheets, numeric keys, a density set key and a copying key are disposed in the upper part 301a of an operating part 301. A power source 304 to said display device, etc. is commonly used for a control part of a copying device (not shown) and is conducted to the part 301 via a switch 303. The switch 303 is so disposed that said switch is held open in the stage when the operator houses the part 301 into a housing part 306 upon ending of copying. The state when the part 307 is in the housing position is shown by an alternate long and to short dashes line and the part 301 is fixed in said position by a locking mechanism 305 in this stage. The switch 303 is therefore pressed by a projection 301b and is maintained at the open state, by which the supply of the power source to the part 301 is interrupted. |
