摘要 727,098. Moulding bricks. NAAMLOOZE VENNOOTSCHAP MASCHINEFABRIEK VOORHEEN J. ABERSON. March 24, 1953 [March 25, 1952], No. 8085/53. Class 87 (2) Apparatus for feeding moulds to a brick press having a press outlet to one side of its centre, comprises means for feeding empty moulds towards the press outlet in the direction of their width from that side of the press which is opposite to the press outlet in a path under the press, the said path being at a level differing from the level in which the moulds are disposed when being filled through the press outlet, and means at a short distance from the press outlet for displacing the moulds in a vertical direction from the level of the path to the level of filling the moulds, the filled moulds being moved from the press outlet in the same direction in which they are moved in the path under the press. Inverted brick moulds are pushed off one by one from a table 7, in the direction of their width, by a pusher 8, and pass through a sanding machine 9 which sands their insides from below. Each mould is pushed by those behind it across a screen 10, where superfluous sand drops out, and into a device 11 which turns it right way up and which may be so described, for example, in Specification 718,886, this being of a kind which enables an upturned mould to be pushed out of it by the movement of the succeeding moulds. The mould arrives on a table 13, which is raised, e.g. hydraulically, to the level of the press outlet, through which the mould is then pushed by a pusher 14 to the position 5. This is the filling position, and as there are no moulds between it and the pusher 14, i.e. the mould is pushed there directly, the mould is not inaccurately positioned for filling through variation in the widths of intervening moulds and the clay as it fills the mould does not therefore displace the sand from one of the walls. A pressing member 2 is rotated about a shaft 3 with the result that clay fed from a pugmill 1 fills the mould. The filled moulds are pushed across a delivery table 15. A strickling device 16 is associated with the member 2. The movements of the pushing device 8, the inverter 11, the lifting mechanism of the table 13, the pushing device 14, and the pressing member 2 are synchronized and derived from a common drive.
