PURPOSE:To attain a high-speed access by giving accesses in parallel to the picture data in a rectangular area at an optional position of a picture. CONSTITUTION:A memory group 4 contains (mXn) units of memory blocks which can give accesses to data equivalent to a picture element at a time. These memory blocks store 2-dimensional pictures and these pictures are read out. Then Y and X direction replacement circuits 5 and 6 switch the orders of data signal lines of those memory blocks to Y and X directions. While a quotient residue conversion circuit 1 produces the addresses to be given to each memory block as well as the control signals to be given to circuits 5 and 6 from the coordinate values (x) and (y) which designate the position of each memory block. |
