<p>PURPOSE:To make the work easy by cutting a mask film in accordance with layout information, which is obtained by setting a layout mount to a data tablet, to produce a mask plate having the same dimensions as an original and sticking the original to this mask plate and sticking it to a scanning drum. CONSTITUTION:A layout mount 8 is set to a data tablet 7, and layout information such as allocated positions of pictures, a trimming range, a variable magnification, etc. are inputted to a controller CPU5. A mask film 12 is cut with a cutter 11 by the control of the CPU5 to form a mask 2 having the same dimensions as the original. A mask film 12 where the mask 2 is formed is stuck to a scanner 1 and is rotated, and the position of the mask 2 is read by a scanning head 13 and encoders 3 and 4 and is inputted to the CPU5. The CPU5 selects required data from data from the scanner 1 in accordance with layout information from the data tablet 7 and writes selected data in a memory 6.
