PURPOSE:To prevent scattering of a toner by energizing a sleeve, which is provided around a pipe which has a toner carrying means internally and has a discharge exit in the lower part, so that an aperture part of this sleeve does not coincide with this discharge exit and taking out a recovery box in this state. CONSTITUTION:A pipe 2 having a toner discharge exit 2a in the lower part is provided in a side wall 1 of a cleaning unit, and a carrying coil spring 3 which is rotated by a driving source omitted in the figure is provided in this pipe 2. The coil spring 3 carries the toner swept off from a drum to the front end of the pipe 2. A toner recovery box 5 is placed on a saucer, which is formed as one body together with the side wall 1, under the pipe 2 and can be moved in the direction perpendicular to the plane of paper and is taken out. A sleeve 6 having an aperture part 6a and claw parts 6c and 6d is provided around the pipe 2, and normally, the aperture part 6a and the discharge exit 2a coincide with each other to recover the toner into the recovery box 5; but claw parts 6c and 6d turn the sleeve 6 to shift the aperture part when the recovery box is taken out. Thus, leakage of the toner is prevented. |
