PURPOSE:To attain a high-speed operation of a picture memory when continuous accesses are given to picture elements adjacent to each other after tracing these picture elements, by having access actions superposed in terms of time for plural memory blocks. CONSTITUTION:Memory blocks 1, 2... are selected by a control circuit 5 and store picture elements adjacent to each other. A line address bus 12 and a read address bus 11 supply write and read addresses in common to blocks 1, 2.... While data buses 13 and 14 are connected and separated individually to and from either one of blocks 1, 2... via the circuit 5. In such a constitution, the access actions are carried out with superposition in terms of time for blocks 1, 2... when the continuous accesses are given to adjacent picture elements after tracing successively these picture elements. |
