Murine monoclonal antibodies which are produced are characterized in that they bind selectively to human breast cancer cells, in that they are IgGs or IgMs, and in that, when conjugated to a ricin A chain, they exhibit a TCID 50% value towards at least one of the cells MCF-7, CAMA-1, SKBR-3 or BT-20 at a concentration of less than 10 nM. Methods for diagnosing, investigating and treating human breast cancer with the antibodies or immunotoxins prepared from them are also described.
