PURPOSE:To maintain a basic function even in case the power supply voltage has a drop by providing the 1st system which executes the basic function of processing, etc. with low power consumption and the 2nd system having an extension function and cutting off the power supply of the 2nd system in a drop mode of the power supply. CONSTITUTION:A power supply device 8 of an electronic device supplies the power of different systems to a system consisting of the 1st and 2nd groups through two lines PL1 and PL2 respectively. An output means 6 including a keyboard 4, a central processor 3, the 1st memory means 5, a liquid crystal display device, etc. is connected to the line PL1 for execution of the minimum functions of input, processing and output respectively. While a printer 1 and the 2nd memory means 2 are connected to the line PL2 for extension of functions. Thus the device 8 uses a battery 7 as an input source, and the supply of power is discontinued to the line PL2 in case the battery voltage is reduced less than a prescribed level. Thus the power is supplied only to the line PL1. As a result, a basic function is maintained. |
