PURPOSE:To securely correct a character even where a minute feeding amount in overlap correcting is relatively large, by a method wherein correcting actions are conducted with a minute leftward staggering and a minute rightward staggering from a bold face character to be corrected, and a correcting action is also conducted for the central part of the bold face character. CONSTITUTION:When correcting a bold face character printed by two-time printing actions consisting of printing an image (L-L') and printing an image (R-R'), a one-time correcting action for an image (LL-LL') staggered leftward from the image (L-L') by a displacement of alpha is conducted, and a one-time correcting action for an image (RR-RR') staggered rightward from the image (R-R') by a displacement of alpha is conducted. Further, a one-time correcting action for an image (C-C') at the center of the bold face character (L-R') is additionally conducted, thereby completely correcting the bold face character (L-R'). |
