PURPOSE:To correct a printed character completely in both vertical and horizontal directions, by repeating a correcting action four time while minutely moving a carriage in vertical and horizontal directions so as to sufficiently cover the printed character to be corrected. CONSTITUTION:After positioning the center of correcting position on a line C'T staggered upward from a line C' by a displacement of beta, a correcting action is repeated two times with lines CR and CL as centers, thereby providing a correcting part which has a vertical range of (TT-TT') and a horizotal range of (LL-RR). Then, the center of correcting position in the vertical direction is positioned on a line C'B, and a correcting action is repeated two times with the lines CR and CL as centers, thereby providing a correcting part which has a vertical range of (BB'-BB) and a horizontal range of (LP'-L'R). |
