PURPOSE:To measure easily and correctly the percentage of water content of an objective body by providing a means which performs constant calibration without holding the objective body in a holder. CONSTITUTION:The holder 14 is closed without holding the objective body 10 so that an electrode 15 and an electric insulator 17 meet each other exactly. An adjustment is so made as to turn on LEDs 4 and 5 in this state. For example, haris as the objective body 10 are held in the holder 14 orderly, and then LEDs 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, and 9 turns on selectively according to the percentage of water content of the hairs. In general, the percentage of water content of hairs is ideally 11-13% and the LEDs 4, 5, 6, and 7 turn on for the percentage of water content. When the percentage of water content is <=8%, only LED4 turns on and when 9%, the LEDs 4 and 5 turn on; when 10%, the LEDs 4, 5, and 6 turn on, when 14%, the LEDs 4, 5, 6, 7, and 8 turn on, and when >=15%, the LEDs 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, and 9 turn off. Thus, the percentage of water content of a hair is known. |
