PURPOSE:To provide a constant reference for end breakage detection to enable the end breakage of each yarn and position of end breakage to be detected by correcting the sensitivity irregularities of each element of image sensor for receiving light from a light source through yarn group. CONSTITUTION:The ratio of measuring signal ei from a correction means 7 to signal eL of a second memory 8 is obtained from a dividing means 9 in the measurement to obtain signal like b. The fluctuation of the dummy output es from only a light source 2 among signals of the dividing means 9 is held by a sample holding circuit 10, and the reference value ec from a reference voltage generating means 11 controlled with the reference value varied for judgement by the dummy output es is compared with the outputs eo of respective elements of the dividing means 9 by a comparing means 12. When a yarn is disconnected to increase light beams from the light source 2, the output eo' at the disconnected portion generates the reference ec as an end breakage detecting signal eo' like c. Also, when the disconnection does not take place, the output eo is low and the detecting signal is not generated. Also, the end breakage position is found by the position of the signal eo' so tht the end breakage position signal can be taken out. |
