PURPOSE:To inspect the whole bottle by inserting the light projection part of a light guide cylinder into the bottle to be inspected, projecting convergent light on the internal surface of the bottle, and photodetecting light existing from the bottle. CONSTITUTION:For example, when the circumference of the screw part of the bottle A to be inspected is inspected, the elevation position of a movable table 8 is adjusted through the drive of a driving motor 17, the projection part of the light guide cylinder 14 is positioned near the screw part, and the internal surface of the bottle A is irradiated with the convergent light. In this state, the bottle A is rotated around its center axis as shown by an arrow P. The convergent light from the projection part is transmitted through the objective part of the bottle A and part of the light is photodetected by a photodetector 18 and outputted as an electric signal, but if there is a defect at the objective part, a defect signal is outputted. Further, the light guide cylinder 14 is moved axially through an elevation device 7 and the light projection part is moved reciprocally from the mouth of the bottle A to the bottom to inspect the nearly whole part of the bottle A. |
