PURPOSE:To perform stable humidity control by forming a water-repellent film on the surface of a sensor base and part of a comb lead in one body. CONSTITUTION:A net cover 5 is fixed by a fixation ring 6 to the sensor base 4 which supports the comb lead 3 fixedly. A heater 2 is arranged surrounding a humidity-sensitive ceramic 1 and respective leads are connected to and supported electrically and mechanically on the comb lead 3. Further, the water-repellent film is formed on the surface of the sensor base 4 by spraying, for example, polyamide resin on the surface of the base 4 and the lower part of the comb lead 3 and baking it at about 200 deg.C for 15min. Consequently, condensed water sticks on the comb lead and moves up by surface tension to prevent the deterioration in the insulation between comb leads. Thus, a failure in the operation of a sensor due to dew condensation is prevented. |
