PURPOSE:To prevent a printing paper from fluttering at the time of printing, by a method wherein a printing paper guided between a pair of right and left tractors is levitated in accordance with the width thereof in such a degree as not to hinder paper feeding. CONSTITUTION:A paper-supporting member 19 is used in the vicinity of a substantially central position between a pair of right and left tractors 11 adjusted to the paper F, and is moved following to a cam surface 20. A paper-supporting surface 19a reaches the maximum height from a paper-guiding surface 13 of the tractors 11 when the member 19 is in contact with a top part 20a of the cam surface 20. When the member 19 makes contact with parts proximate to right and left end parts of slanted parts 20b, 20c of the cam surface 20, the paper- supporting surface 19a is located at substantially the same height as that of the paper-guiding surface 13, thereby levitating the printing paper F by an appropriate amount. |
