PURPOSE:To obtain an acrylic resin sheet excellent in thermoforming property and solvent resistance, by forming a syrup from methyl methacrylate containing a chain transfer agent, adding a crosslinking agent to this syrup and cast-polymerizing this mixture. CONSTITUTION:In producing an acrylic resin sheet by polymerizing methyl methacrylate alone or a monomer mixture containing 60wt% or above and 40wt% or below acrylate ester in the presence of a polymerization initiator, a syrup is previously produced from the above monomer mixture containing 0.01-2.0wt% based on the total monomer weight, chain transfer agent, and 0.02-1.0wt% crosslinking agent is added to the obtained syrup. The mixture is cast-polymerized in a mold. The amount of the acrylic acid ester used is 40wt% or below. When this amount is above 40wt%, the heat resistance is decreased. Examples of the chain transfer agents used include alkyl mercaptans and thioglycols.
