PURPOSE:To prevent a core loss and an uneven abrasion by providing a metallic magnetic material core, a holder consisting of ferrite, which has been provided on both its side faces so as to insert and hold this core, and a non-magnetic material layer formed on a tape slide-contact face of the holder. CONSTITUTION:On both side faces of a metallic magnetic material core 21, holders 22, 23 consisting of ferrite and glass are provided so as to insert and hold said core. Also, on tape slide-contact faces 26, 27 of the holders 22, 23 a non-magnetic material layer of glass, etc. is formed extending over the whole surface. According to such a constitution, a magnetic field which has entered from a gap 33 of the metallic magnetic material core 21 is led into ferrite parts 29, 30 of the holders 22, 23 whose high frequency loss is small, and an efficiency of a head can be raised. That is to say, a magnetic path of the metallic magnetic material core 21 is shortened remarkably comparing with that of a conventional one, and generation of a core loss against a high frequency signal and an uneven abrasion against a recording medium can be prevented simultaneously. |
