PURPOSE:To curtail the number of parts by providing a freely elastically deformable arm part having a detaining part, on the outside part of an effective diameter of an objective lens, and providing a detaining part which can be engaged freely with the detaining part of the objective lens side, on an elastic member side for holding the objective lens. CONSTITUTION:An objective lens holding device 7 is constituted of an objective lens 8, a pair of elastic members 9 for holding this lens 8 so as to be freely movable in the tracking direction, and a magnetic ring 10 installed to the upper face part of the objective lens 8. The elastic members 9, 9 are formed by that which is like a plate spring, its base end side is held by a holding member (not shown in the figure), and a pair of them are provided in parallel so as to be deformed elastically freely in the tracking direction. On the free end side of this elastic member 9, a recessed part 14 which is engaged freely with base end part 12a of an arm part 12 of the objective lens 8 is provided, and an engaging hole 15 serving as a detaining part which is engaged freely to a detaining part 13 of the arm part 12 is provided. The elasticity of the elastic member 9 is set larger than the elasticity of the arm part 12, so that each holding part of the objective lens 8 and the elastic member 9 is joined smoothly. |
