PURPOSE:To obtain the titled resin compsn. having excellent durability by utilizing waste materials, by reacting a tri- to polyfunctional compd. with a polyester oligomer contg. Sb and P discharged from a manufacturing process. CONSTITUTION:A polyester oligomer contg. antimony and phosphorus discharged from a polyester manufacturing process is reacted with a tri- to polyfunctional polycarboxylic acid or its anhydride, or a tri- to polyfunctional polyhydric alcohol to obtain the desired compsn. Said polyester is one contg. at least 70mol%, pref. at least 90mol% of ethylene terephthalate units. The antimony content of the polyester oligomer is pref. 0.02-1wt% and the phosphorus content is pref. 0.02-1wt%. When the contents of these elements are too low, paint having excellent durability cannot be obtd., while when the contents are too high, paint becomes brittle.
