PURPOSE:To improve the resistance of a sliding member to a heat cycle and the corrosion resistance by forming specified three ceramic layers on the undercoat formed on the base. CONSTITUTION:A sliding member is obtd. by forming an undercoat (b) on a base (a) and three ceramic layers (c), (d), (e) on the undercoat (b). The layer (c) contacting the undercoat (b) and the surface layer (e) are dense layers having low porosity, and the intermediate layer (d) is a porous layer having high porosity. |
